Aims of the course
The IOSH Managing Safely course aims to ensure that health and safety requirements are appreciated by people employed in an organization and to enable them to conduct risk assessment and thereby review their own departmental systems for safety, introduce new controls or implement changes as appropriate to the workplace.

Entry Requirements

Course Duration
The course duration is 21 hours and can be delivered over 3 / 4 / 5 Days
How is this qualification assessed?
An IOSH Managing safely certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course and
successfully complete both the written and practical assessments.
Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a written assessment paper
consisting of 30 multi-format questions and a practical risk assessment.
Certification
You will receive your results within 10 working days of sitting the assessments. Once you have
achieved a pass a qualification parchment will be issued by IOSH. This is normally within 20
working days of the confirmation of successfully passing.
